Artist, photographer, and interior designer on a mission to create unique/eclectic spaces that will evoke an emotion of self-realization in the local communities around her.
Originally raised in Houston, Samantha Norman felt the need to spread her wings and explore the neighboring state. She spent the next 6 years in Norman, Oklahoma where she earned a degree in interior design and a minor in architecture from the University of Oklahoma.

After school, Samantha decided to move to San Francisco where she could drown herself in the interior design community. For the first few months she worked as an apprentice at an architecture firm designing international Apple stores. Although it was a great opportunity, she decided to move into the furniture industry. She soon got a job as a graphic designer for a residential furniture showroom. She learned how to market the company she was working for and the products they represented, which included unique accessories, custom furniture, and local art. Samantha learned very quickly that her heart belonged in this industry and that one day she would open her own business. To gain more knowledge about furniture, she decided to start working directly for a furniture representative. The small team focused on five lines of high-end commercial furniture that catered to office and lobby spaces. She worked directly with some of the most important interior designers and furniture dealers in San Francisco. Their main clients were tech companies in the Bay Area, like Facebook, Google, Yahoo, Autodesk, and LinkedIn.

Currently, Samantha is living in Colorado where she remotely works on projects for Designostore. Her personal design style is an eclectic mid century modern twist. Everything funky to the bone. Her goal as an interior designer is to encourage her clients to step out of their comfort zone. Okay, maybe jump out of their comfort zone!

When Samantha isn't designing you can find her hiking the Rocky Mountains in Colorado or exploring the local art galleries. Along to the side of her you will find her trusty side-kick, Azula, who is a border collie-huskie mix that rocks one blue eye.

Designostore is a traveling interior design firm that specializes in online color consultations. We help support you in your decision making when it comes to anything with color. From interior to exterior paint, siding, stucco, shutters, roofing, trim, gutters and all that jazz! We help make the process of selecting color fun! It's not as big and scary as you think!
